Pea and bean seeds (legumes)

Peas and beans are among the most satisfying crops to grow — productive, delicious straight from the pod, and they even feed your soil by fixing nitrogen as they grow. How to grow peas and beans

Sow direct from spring once the soil has warmed, or start early under cover. Climbing types need a wigwam or netting to scramble up, while dwarf and bush kinds need little support. As legumes, they fix their own nitrogen, leaving the soil richer for whatever follows.
